Our Process

All clients receive a dynamic and comprehensive model of their financial projections from now until age 90 (or later). This model serves as the framework for financial decision-making regarding investments, insurance, taxes, retirement, and estate planning goals. 
The base case projections, along with alternative scenarios, ensure that all decisions are informed and well-informed. We employ a consultative approach to help our clients achieve their objectives. Our process enables us to achieve the following:

Our process begins with a series of meetings

THE INTRODUCTORY MEETING(S)

At our initial meeting, we get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit for working together. This meeting is free and requires no obligation. Simply put, we want long-term relationships with our clients, so it is important to us to spend time together before signing any documents.  During this meeting, we will examine where you are, where you want to go, and whether we can help you maximize the possibility of getting there. We do not make any recommendations during the first meeting.

Since we are committed to forming a lifelong relationship with our clients, we encourage you to take the time necessary to become completely comfortable with our process before becoming a client.  Sometimes, this means we need to have a second introductory meeting.  That is fine!  You should never feel rushed into making any decisions. Ultimately, we will make a mutual decision about whether we can add substantial value and determine the best course of action to proceed.

At this meeting, we will present our comprehensive diagnosis of your current financial situation and provide recommendations to help you achieve your goals.  These projections form the foundation you need to make informed decisions. Our clients hire us to handle all their investment work.  We transfer your accounts into Charles Schwab, where we implement our investment recommendations for you.  As markets evolve, we adjust our portfolios accordingly. You don’t need to do anything!

REGULAR PROGRESS MEETINGS

These meetings, scheduled at intervals convenient to you, provide us with an opportunity to review any significant changes in your personal or financial situation since our last meeting. We discuss whether or not these changes necessitate adjustments to your investment plan. We review your overall progress towards your long-term financial goals. All of our clients are unique and prefer meetings at varying frequencies.  We request to meet at least once a year, but prefer semi-annual progress meetings.
